I have so much for which to be grateful. I was diagnosed with Ovarian/Uterine Carcinosarcoma in April 2015. I have had stable disease since August 2015, which means the cancer has not receded, but has also not progressed. We are co-exisitng. I’m feeling good.
Funding Research for a Cure
We started the GCS Project In June 2016. Our mission is to provide help and hope for women and families of women with carcinosarcoma and to fund the research to find a cure. I am very happy to report that:
We have raised almost $200,000 in 5 months. Amazing!
Our initial goal is to raise $300,000 and we are 2/3 there. I am grateful for your generosity! It’s a game changer.
I am so very grateful to my family and friends who have been with me even step of the way. They have made major contributions to the fund and have provided the encouragement, motivation, time, love and support to launch this project to help all women with this disease.
I am grateful for the medical team who have taken on this challenge to find a cure or to live a long life with this disease. I am so confident that Dr. Michael Birrer and his team of brilliant researchers are going to make this happen.
And I am grateful for all the women who have shared their stories and who have inspired me to keep this project going. The GCS Project has given me hope and I hope it has provided all of you with hope as well.
