It’s been a while since I posted here. I’m blessed with an oncologist who researches UCS in order to provide me with a quality of life. My treatment center in Santa Fe, NM is small but mighty. I’m now on the Keytruda/Lenvima regime. It’s slow to provide positive results, but both the medical onc and the radiologist onc, are watching closely to see if my last 10 treatments of IMRT to a bully tumor, will activate the Keytruda.
The plan is to stop any and all systemic growth (and my last PET/CT scan showed no progress and an apparent end to the lung nodules). One troublesome tumor was surgically removed by a surgeon who specializes in removing sarcoma tumors in the intestinal zone. The next troublesome tumor was just treated with radiation. That leaves 3 tumors. This is where the immunotherapy comes in.
The GCS Project is dedicated to finding a cure for Gynecological Carcinosarcoma (aka MMMT), providing current scientifically valid information, and offering a place for the community impacted by this cancer to share stories and hope.
