I do not about oncology in the UK. I was Grade 3 , stage 1A, uterine carcinosarcoma, after surgery with negative lymph nodes was given 6 rounds of Chemo with Carboplatin and Paxil then 5 brachytherapy radiation treatments. This seems to be standard, there are other people on this site from the UK , look to see who they are and who they went to. Sorry I can not help further
Dear Jenny, Hope you continue to have NED. Chemo was easy for me other than hair loss. Started brachytherapy and got a UTI, but it is tolerable.start my follow up CT in Nov. and will have a CT every 6 months, examines every 3 months. Feeling very well, thank you!
Found out wig cap really helps for wig discomfort. Reciever Pepcid, dexamethasone, Benadryl. And also I pre chemo and an having no side effects. Also taking Claritin for 5 days starting day of Neulasta with no side effects from that. I am one lucky girl.
The GCS Project is dedicated to finding a cure for Gynecological Carcinosarcoma (aka MMMT), providing current scientifically valid information, and offering a place for the community impacted by this cancer to share stories and hope.
