If you are having issues logging in or resetting your password, likely this is caused by a glitch in our new system where you are not fully logged out, therefore when you try to change the password you get an error. The system fix for this is in progress, but in the meantime we have a manual fix as noted below.
But first, please watch this 5min video overview:
Background on our website:
We have a single Login to the Website that gives you access to 2 separate member areas of our site:
1) The Donations management Area
2) The Forum Area
A note about Logging Out of your session:
When you finish your session, you must always “Log out” by using the top menu “Log out” menu item. (if you log out anywhere else, this will cause a problem)
What to do if you have problems:
If you are having any login or resetting password issues, the first thing is to make sure you are logged out of both areas mentioned above. Below are instructions on how to log out of both systems.
1) Donations Area:
in the main menu below, click on the teal “Donate” menu item. If you see”Welcome (your user name)” (Account#)and the grey“What would you like to do”pulldown menu, then click on that menu and select “Log Out”
2) Forum Area;
On the upper left area of the site, click on theGCS Projectlogo to go to the home page; then in the top menu click on “Log Out” if you see it there.
3) Lastly, log In again and/or Reset your password:
Once you have confirmed you are logged out of both areas, then go back to the home page, and click on Log In, at the upper right, try your username/password again. If it doesn’t work, reset it again. This time, because you are definitely logged out of both systems, you should not have any issues with the password reset.
Thank you for your patience as we improve our systems and we appreciate your feedback!
If you are still having issues, please contact us and we’ll get back to you as soon as possible.
