My 43 year old sister was just diagnosed with stage 4 MMMT. Her lymph nodes from her abdomen to her esophagus have been affected. Her doctor plans to start her on toxol and ifosfamide. She will do 8 rounds of chemo (three days of chemo then off for three weeks.) The doctor plans for a hysterectomy down the road once the medication shrinks the tumor. I’ve read a lot of post about MMMT and I’m beyond scared.
It is a scary disease! Glad you and your sister found this website! These doctors are committed to trying to learn about this cancer and search for a cure! Every experience we share helps us all learn more!
