Distinguished Alumna at Peoria High School
The GCS Project founder, Diane Redington, was posthumously recognized as a
Distinguished Alumna at Peoria High School on October 6, 2018, for her career accomplishments and generous service to others. Diane’s husband, Roy Buchta and son Matt accepted the award.
Created and supported by the Massachusetts General Hospital Cancer Center, the one hundred is an awareness and fundraising initiative that celebrates hope in the cancer community. Each year, the one hundred honors 100 Everyday Amazing individuals and groups — caregivers, researchers, philanthropists, advocates and volunteers from around the globe — whose commitment to the fight against cancer inspires us all to take action.
The first of its kind, the Spotlight Awards shine a light on the achievements of truly remarkable people, products, and services in the cancer community. Nominated by the public, and voted by a panel of expert judges, the winners are from all walks of life, of all ages, and from across the world.
